Sedimentation Analyzers

SEDIMENTATION ANALYZERS

Sedimentation analyzers are devices that measure the settling rate of particles or cells in a liquid. In medicine, the most common application is the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) test, but sedimentation analysis is also used in chemistry, environmental science, and industrial processes.

These devices are particularly useful in clinical laboratories for diagnosing inflammation, infections, and autoimmune diseases. While traditional methods (Westergren or Wintrobe) require manual measurement, automated sedimentation analyzers speed up the process and ensure standardized results.

Advantages:

  • Fast and precise measurement

  • Automated process reduces human error

  • High sample throughput

This technology is widely used in hospitals, research centers, and industrial laboratories.
